Schepers taken on November 30, 1988 in Zenobia v. Eagle Picher Industries I note the following relevant points with regard to Chrysler's knowledge: 30 Dr. Schepers was involved in conducting a symposium in February of 1955. 31 It was the eighth Saranac Symposium and was conducted over a a three day period. Many scientists, doctors and company reps were invited. Many speakers presented papers on their findings and research studies. There was a sign in sheet for all people who signed in. Not everyone bothered to sign in. 32 He invited many scientists and doctors that he knew were interested in laboratory studies. He asked Dr. Lanza to be the key note speaker. He also asked Dr. Kary McCord of the Chrysler Corp. to be the closing speaker. The subject of the symposium was Pneumoconiosis. It often refered to asbestos related diseases. Many of the papers were published after they were delivered. The publication of some of those papers occured in approximately September of 1955 in the American Medical Association Archives of Industrial Health.
