Dear doctor:
Unless I am mistaken, you have written an article on lsad poisoning dealing with the effects on the central nervous sys tem, and partiaularily concerning cases which manifest epilep tiform seizures.
I, at the present time, have a man under my care about
forty five years of age who had lead poisoning about two years
ago. Prior to that time, history does not show any evidence
of epilepsy.
,
In the last year and a half he has had several attacks
which ordinarily would be taken to be epilepsy. He has had
two attacks in the last t^i days. Without warning ha loses
consciousness and goes into a severe spasmodic attack, frothing
at the mouth and then within a period of fifteen |of twenty min
utes becomes himsslf again. There is mo evidence of lead in
the urine and there is nothing in the blood count; or blood smear
to indicate the presence of lead in his system, jl have not yet
been able to make a positive diagnosis.
!
If you have a reprint of your article I.would greatly appreciate receiving a copy and any comment' or suggestion you would care to make.
