It passed with a comfortable margin, the preburnish requirements and also the fourth effectiveness. It had then been installed on a gasoline vehicle and at this point successfully completed the postburnish testing and is continuing on through the schedule. A third car of diesel engine variety was equipped and this has successfully passed the 30mph preburnish test with the 60mph preburnish being run at this point. This material in combination with 38-27E is working out better than anticipated and it appears that this is the direction that they will go in. For confirmation testing which must be completed by the end of March, they have requested an additional ten car sets. This has been ordered by phone and the writer has covered this with a written experimental order. It was subsequently learned that the material to be shipped to Delco-Moraine for installation on shoes and subsequent shipment to the Phoenix Proving Ground was shipped on March 6th, Bill of Lading No. 016DCA62313646 (United Airlines). If this change is made a part of the record and goes through, it will be for the 1981 and 1982 model years.
