The upstream block valve around the steam FCV shall be opened, sealed, and logged on the snuffing steam inspection sheet. 3. Each Monday on day shift, the reactor operator and lead operator will inspect the steam snuff system. This will be done by first making a visual inspection of the steam block valves to make sure they are open and second isolating and stroking the steam FCV. Finally, the block valve before the steam FCV shall be sealed again and the new seal numbers logged on the inspection sheet. Any problems found with the steam system should be reported to the Maintenance Coordinator at once. 4. The Dowtherm furnace should not be operated unless the steam snuff system is in good operating condition.
