Dear Bob:
TML - 'WEST COAST STUDY
I have read, your report on the above subject with a great deal of interest*
for this is the basis on which we will request the U.S.P.H. Service to con
done the use of 4 ml. per gallon of TML. My reaction is that it covers the
subject very well and offers sound justification for raising the maximum
level of all lead alkyls to that of TEL* i.e. 4.23 grams of lead metal per
gallon of motor gasoline.
.,
There are no criticisms or suggestions for me to make* except for the
addition of dates to the periods covered. If these are in the report* I
missed them.
.
As soon as you return from your vacation* I suggest we get together and decide upon the next step toward having the U.S.P.H. o.k. the 4th ml. of TMLand the Ordnance Department approve the 4th ml. of TELand TMLfor use in Federal Specification gasolines.
I shall call your office this week to determine your schedule and develop
plans for the future.
.
With kind regards.
Sincerely*
JRS/pwh
