We make three Therminols, identified as Thermlnol FR-1, Therminol FR-2 and Thermlnol FR-3. "' -- These are heat transfer grades of our Aroolors or chlorinated biphenyls. Specifically then, they are biphenyls chlorinated to 42J<, 48jf and 54jf respectively. I have enclosed a technical bulletin describing the uses and physical properties for these fluids. The last page of text susnarlzes our safe handling recommendations. There is enclosed also a reprint of chronic vapor inhalation studies done at Kettering Laboratories on Aroolors 1242 and 1234. Knolosed also is a copy of the AIHA Hygienic Guide for these two ohlorodlphenyls. Although chronic inhalation studies have not been done with Aroolor 1248, our acute toxicity information, manufacturing, handling and use experience indicate that this material is about the same order of toxicity as Aroclor 1234.
