Asbestos Exposure Monitoring -'Non Abatement
Attached are the results of the Asbestos exposure monitoring
performed on electricians while pulling cable above ceilings. H. E. Reynolds and R. D. Hall were monitored in Building 2000 on August 25, 1987. E. E. Grinstead and W. J. Breckenbridge were monitored in Building 740 on August 27 and 28, 1987. Please refer to the monitoring results for the protective equipment worn by each.
The exposure monitoring results indicate that the levels were well below the 0.1 fiber/cc Action Level, established by 0SHA for an 8-hour workday (TWA8). However, we still require wearing of half-face HEPA respirators, whenever working above ceilings and inside of pipe chases, until we have sufficient data to indicate that no problem exists.
Please notify the monitored employees of these exposure results as soon as possible. Please have them sign and date this report and return to M. A. Patel at Building 701-330.
If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to call us on extension 4779 or 3750.

*A TWAq was not calculated because this work was done after hours and it is not known if these enployees had any asbestos exposure, during the normal workday.
**A TWAg was calculated because Grinstead had no asbestos exposure before the monitoring was performed and left the plant upon removal of the monitoring device.
