Changes have included installation of air cooled heat exchangers, larger pumps & circulating system and chlorine control instrumentation. Remaining work Includes installation of larger pumps and coils on the stills and installation of 3 new storage tanks by mid-October. A problem with entrainment or vaporization in HC1 off-gas has caused muriatic acid quality problems. Control of this problem has restricted rates.
