The "G asoline Service" has been in stru c te d by the A ir M inistry to b u ild th e n e c e ssa ry in s ta lla tio n s to en ab le them to supply th e v a rio u s a i r f i e l d s w ith E th y l Gasoline o f given s p e c ific a tio n s . A m ixing p la n t of our sta n d a rd ty p e f o r th e h an d lin g o f drums o f F lu id has been c o n s tru c te d a t one o f th e main b u lk s to r a g e s t a t i o n s . I t i s e x p e c te d t h a t -when th e u s e o f E th y l G a s o lin e th ro u g h o u t th e A ir Force j u s t i f i e s , a d d itio n a l m ixing s ta tio n s vri.ll be b u il t a t o th er -Q oints.
A lthough no d is tr ib u tio n o f E th y l G asoline h as as y e t ta k en p lace in F ra n c e on a c o m m e rc ia ls c a l e , i t i s hoped t h a t t h i s may b e g in i n th e n e a r f u t u r e . The p la n s w hich a r e u n d e r c o n s id e r a tio n f o r t h i s c a l l f o r th e co n s tru c tio n and o p eratio n o f f u l l size m ixing p la n ts , p a rtic u la r s tr e s s being l a i d upon u s in g a l l th e s a f e ty a p p lia n c e s -which a r e u sed everyw here e l s e . I t m ust be k e p t i n mind t h a t i n s p ite o f th e d e s ir e o f our f o r e ig n custom ers to comply -with a l l o u r h e a lth r e g u la tio n s , th e s iz e o f t h e i r r e s p e c tiv e m arkets and th e p ro b ab le demand f o r E th y l G aso lin e w i l l make i t v e ry h ard f o r them , a t l e a s t i n th e b e g in n in g , to make m ixes u sin g f u l l s iz e 5 5 -g a llo n drums o f F lu id . For motor g a s o lin e , how ever, i t w ill p ro b ab ly be p o ssib le to use 1 0 -g allo n drums co n ta in in g 20,000 c c s . o f le a d .
