The purpose of this letter is to assist yon In the identification of those areas of your t which need to be designated "Regulated Areas* as defined by the new asbestos standaxu.-
The asbestos standard defines a regulated area as "an area established by the employer to demarcate areas where airborne concentrations of asbestos, tremolite. anthophyllite. actinolite, or a combination of these minerals exceed, or can reasonably be expected to exceed, the permissible exposure limit".
The following areas of your facility were identified during the survey conducted August 25 through 29. 1986 as areas in which the permissible exposure limit (PEL) was exceeded:
