Old Business
1. Subject: The Union asked if the M. McDonnell suggestions that had been rejected have been explained to hia.
Action: Management stated that the reasons for rejection have been e^lained to McDonnell.
2. Subject: The Ohion asked if improvements would be made to the 12 Line stripping conveyor.
Action:
Management stated that this eonveyar would be altered to be the same as the 13 Line. This work will be done as soon as
possible.
9. Subject: The Union again voiced its disapproval of the dust conditions in the plant. It pointed out several areas where excessive dust
is prevalent. Zt requested a weekend schedule be formulated to vacu\8B and sweep the plant. The floor sweeping program is not being followed. The Union stated that the dust conditions
must be corrected and it was prepared to meet this problem head on if tiie bad conditions are not corrected.
Action:
Management assured the Committee that corrective programs are being continually worked on. Engineering advice provided by consultants hired by the company is being put into aerviee. Much time and money is going into this progras and the entire condition will be corrected. Management will give to the Union e list showing the items that have been worked on.
A. Subject: The Union requested work be performed on the warehouse docks to eliminate the slippery conditions.
Action:
Management stated that material has been purchased to correct this condition. A form of paint with an abrasive material in it will be applied. This material eannot be applied in cold
temperature. As soon as the temperature is favorable the job will be done.
I. Subject: The Union asked that a shelter be provided for the warehouse people for when they do their paperwork.
Action: Management will do this.

t. Subject: The Obion stated that the revaluation of the Stores Soon Clerk job is still open and there will be further action on this
subject.
7. Subject: The Onion asked for a schedule on the incentive orientation prograa.
Action: Manageaent informed the Onion that the first session will be held April 29.
1. Subject: The Onion pointed out the dangerous condition at sone of the truck docks.
Action:
Manageaent informed the Onion that a new type of dock plate has been ordered. This plate will be tried and if it is satisfactory a sufficient nu&ber of then will be installed.
9. Subject: The Onion asked the status of the overhead door for the serap dock.
Action: Manageaent stated that work bo been done on this progran and as soon o the door is finished it will be installed.
10. Subject: Manageaent covered the Onion en a prograa being developed in conjunction with Berlin Borough to build a baseball field. The Onion Coamittee was asked to see if any of the Onion nenber-
ship would be willing to donate soae of their tiae to develop this project.
Sew Business
1. Subject: The Onion asked why the A saw crew bonus was so low.
Action:
Manageaent pointed out that after the A am operation was aoved to the day shift the bonus earnings pideed up. This area will be elesely supervised to insure that proper aethods are used so that the operation ean get full potential en bonus.
2. Subject: The Onion asked why the 2 X flatware finishing bonus was low.
Action:
Management stated that this operation was earning a good percentage of bonus. Zt pointed out that there are tiaos when
the erew does not operate a full day and this nay make the bonus earnings lower than normal.
S. Subject: The Onion requested that the extra aan used for K-17 oore finishing be included in the bonus program.
Action: Manageaent stated that it will try to work out a prop's for bonus coverage for this job.

6. Subject: The Union asked if- the dust collectors could be cleaned over the weekend. The Union has been informed that the dust
' collectors are always half full and this condition could be corrected on the weekend.
Action: Management will investigate this natter.
S Subject: The Union requested a check be aade of the Collector-Driwr work nethods and procedures.
Action: Management will take ear* of this nattar.
6 Subject: The Union asked why sene of our retirees are denied uneaploysent compensation.
Action:
Zt wo explained that none of the retirees have been denied unemployment compensation. Zt oust be understood that a retiree oust meet all of the qualifications just as any other person filing for the benefits. When they neet these qualifi cations they receive condensation.
7. Subject: The Obion asked to have the water cooler at the spray booth.
Integrated Line, relocated or have better water service provided.
Action: Managenent will take car* of this natter.
t. Subject: The Union questioned the aetlen taken by Supervisor Vsitrman when he sent K. Cornwell hone after he granted hin personal time off.
Action: Managenent will make a full report to the Union on this natter.
9. Subject: The Union questioned the disciplinary action taken against frod Bell for unnotified absence.
Action: Managenent will review the records with the Union Cosnittee.
10. Subject: The Obion pointed out that the rar nateriale bulk systaa was slow in delivering the required amounts of material and this caused the use of bagged material.
Action: Managenent stated that there is an extensive program underway to correct this eonditioo and it will be corrected.
11 Subject: The Union asked that the drop shied in front of the cylinders be extended to cover all of the cylinders.
Action: Managenent said this will bo dene.

13. Subject: The Union stated that there wu sene confusion la the application ' of Article 35, "Coopensation for Death in roily". Zt pointed out that V. Jose received just one day's pay at his base rate at the tiae of tfaa death of his brother.
Action:
Maaateaent pointed out that the language in this article nay he nisunderstood standing on tbs words alone. The intent of the language is to provide a Beans of niniaixing a financial hardship for a person during the tins of death of a loved one listed in the Article. Realizing that enotions and respensi* billties are first and foreaost in a person's Bind at a tine such as this the Contract provides a period net to exceed three days at base pay. The intent of this Article is not to provide a person a weans of capitalizing on an unfortunate circuzatance.
