The minutes of the meeting of February 14 were approved.
The Secretary reported that he had received repeated tele phone calls from Deputy Janssen in Washington, urging prompt action on the Code and requesting reconsideration of our refusal to adopt the proposed Section 5 of Article XI. The Committee reconsidered its action as of February 14, but after much discussion, decided to adhere to its decision as being the only one it could take in
all fairness to the principle involved.
The Secretary was authorised to communicate with Deputy Janssen to arrange for a conference in Washington with the Deputy and Ur. McFarland, to go over the entire situation and to explain
the viewpoint of the Oommittee in detail.
The program for the Code Conference was discussed brief ly and tabled for subsequent action.
