Dear
With reference to your invitation to speak at the 16th EDA REACH Plenary Meeting, I am pleased to inform you that your request has been accepted.
Ms
and
will be your contact
points for this event. However, ECHA will only be able to cover topics related restrictions.
The other two topics, listed in your request (REACH revision and Essential Use) are
topics, where the European Commission has the competence, therefore we would
recommend you contact them for a speaker on those topics.
To agree on further details, please contact Ms
and Ms
directly. You can find their email addresses in copy of this
message.
Best regards,
-(Mr)

Subject: 16th EDA REACH Plenary Meeting - Session with industry on 9 October 2024
Dear
,
I hope this finds you well.
As mentioned earlier this year, the next (16th) EDA REACH Plenary Meeting will take
place on 9 October 2024 in EDA Premises in Brussels. As previous sessions, we would
like to invite this year again ECHA to attend the whole meeting (if feasible), and to
present in a specific slot (still to be scheduled). Of course, this is only a "save-the-date",
and I will come back to you in due time with a formal invitation.
Here is an initial list of topics we would like to discuss:
Cr(VI) Authorisations/Restriction
PFAS Restrictions
REACH Revision / Essential use concept (for the Commission)
We hope that a presentation by ECHA will be possible this year again, especially bearing
in mind that the meeting could also be conducted through hybrid format (Webex session
in addition to the physical presence at EDA premises). Looking forward to your feedback. As soon as the formal EDA Communication is sent to Member States and industry, I will send that to you too, for further information. In the meantime, I remain available for any clarification. Thank you very much and best regards,
