BETTER THINOB FOR BETTER LIVING . . . THROUGH CHEM/BTHV nnn . , , DU 054307 DR. C. A. D'ALONZO 2 November 15, 1966 Insulation for construction on this site is done by. the Armstrong Contracting and Supply Corporation. The supervisor for them on this site has been with them for twenty-five years and says none of the Armstrong men have ever had any symptoms, and states it has been his observation that old boiler men are the ones who have developed asbestosis. His company does not do boiler work. He has heard that the local union (about 135 men) have been surveyed in the past few weeks, and that 28 men here found to have some degree of asbestosis, six of them presently working on this site. Sub-contractors employees are not seen by Construction Medical except for acute illness or injury, so we have no first hand knowledge of the situation. MEDICAL DEPARTMENT BEF/cps B. E.
