Circular Air Diffuser Illustrated is the Kno-Draft type KDA adjustable air diffuser. Square Air Diffusers The attractive Kno-Draft square air diffuser is offered in two modern types designed for easy installation--Type KP (overlap) for flush mounting on plaster or similar ceilings--Type KPT for snap ping into T-bar framework of acoustical or tile ceilings. Each model is available with the sleeve-type damper. Despite their square design, both models deliver supply air in true circular pattern for uniform effectiveness. Complete details are given in Bulletin K-B7. Slotted Air Diffusers Kno-Draft Series KLS all-aluminum slotted diffusers are particularly adapted to board rooms, foyers, lounges and simi lar spaces. Available in lengths from 2 to 6 ft and in widths of in. and 6 in. for single direction blow and 12 in. for two-direction blow. These handsome units may be installed singly or butted in series to form a continuous slot for fierimeter heating or cooling. The classic ines of the extruded aluminum vanes complement any decor. Air System Equipment SifGrines Air Diffusers HIGH VELOCITY VALVE ATTENUATORS In the past decade High Velocity air conditioning systems have earned ever-in creasing favor with heating and ventilating engineers. This is due chiefly to the many space and money saving advantages inherent in this type of system. However, the raising of duct static pressures and temperature differentials im poses severe restrictions on the air outlets. It is at this terminus that supply air velocities must be reduced with a minimum of noise and with a maximum mixing rate to assure rapid temperature equalization. Since 1949. Connor Engineering Corporation has been continuously active in the development and production of High Velocity Diffusers that would fulfill these requirements. The most recent de velopment in Connor's research program is the Series "45" Valve Attenuator. This new concept in dual duct design incorporates the latest advances in pneumatic con trols and air mixing techniques. Five of its features are particularly important to the design engineer planning a new installation. They are: 1. 45 deg Inlets for easy integration with duct layouts; 2. Helical Neoprene Dampers for maximum quiet ness, high velocity air is throttled through a soft-walled venturi section; 3. Aircraft Cable Drive--Frictionless drive over nylon pulleys eliminates control lag and as sures precise temperature regulation; 4. Constant Volume Control--Standard com ponents of control manufacturers completely regulate both the hot and cold air flow and total air volume; 5. Sinuous Baffle--a combination of deep layers of sound lining plus a sinuous baffle blank off both low and high frequencies for maximum sound attenuation.
