Included In the estimate is the price of the Pengborn dust collector. Pangborn was the only company, to date, that met Port Allegany's requirement of greater than 6" diameter bags. Therefore, consideration should be given to 6" bags since our consultant (Or. Corn) has assured PC that they will do an adequate job and the price of a unit with six inch bags is estimated at $15,000 less than the Pangborn unit. 2. A new dust collector will not be required in the saw area at Port A)legany. 3. All new equipment will be required at Tyler. 4. Firm quotes were not received for internal labor, erection and duct work fabrication and erection. Plant personnel were unable to aid l in compilation of costs because of prior commitments (Furnace Mechanization). 5. Costs are based on three lines at Port and three lines at Tyler. 6. No make up air is Included for the Tyler operation. 7. A 10% contingency allowance has been added to selected items. 8. Tyler requirements will be essentially the same as Port Allegany.
