Please excuse the delay in replying to yours of April 16th.
I am glad tpiiear that the sample of KA2S has proved to be completely corrosion resistant in the animal cages.
I regret to say that I have been array so much and have been so busy that I have not as yet had a chance to have your sketch re produced and sent out for bids.
I furthermore regret that I shall not be able to do this,for a week or so as I am off on my travels again. I am inclined to think, however, that the trays will be extremely difficult to fabricate if the metal thickness is cut to l/5Z' or less. Such thin metal could, of course, readily be fabricated if you -wanted 100 trays or more, in which case it would pay to make the necessary tools required for shot welding. It would be of value in obtaining bids if you could let me know how many trays you would be likely to require for the initial order. One tray will, of course, cost nearly as much as a dozen on account of tooling and overcoming initial fabrication difficulties. It is, of course, obvious, that almost any kind of container can be made of this material if one is Tailing to spend the necessary money on tools. You may know that the Burlington Zephyr is entirely fabri cated -in KA2S of quitqiight guage.
I had a letter from Klein a day or two ago saying that they are a bit worried at Wright Field concerning one of their chemists who has been working on lead analysis for about two years, and has never been examined by your staff.
I expect to drive to White Sulphur in the middle of June, and shall hope to at least look in and say "how-do-you-do" to the Kehoes, but Tall write you ahead of time if this is convenient.
