lo b Kirapton picked up fo u r le n g th s o f hose Honday morning dune 14tli, and took them home. A fte r th e y had been in th e sun in h is back y ard a couple o f h o u rs, he hooked them up to h is mask blow er and took an o th er a i r sample which a lso showed betw een 12 and 15 .micrograms. lo b th e n looked th e hose over c a re fu lly and found one len g th th a t could be con s id e re d in poor c o n d itio n . lie removed t h i s s e c tio n and made a n o th er t e s t on th e rem aining th re e s e c tio n s . The le a d - in - a ir co n ce n tra tio n was s t i l l between 12 and 15 m icro g ran s.

I asked George to t e s t th e a i r from th e hose on th a t job which he d id and got a re a d in g o f f th e s c a le o f o u r a n a ly s e r, lie hooked up th r e e le n g th s o f ' E t h y l s " hose to c o n tr a c to r s b lo w er and sam pled th e a i r p a s s in g th ro u g h i t . I t was p r a c tic a lly a zero re a d in g . George s e le c te d th re e o r fo u r le n g th s o f c o n tra c to r rs hose t/hich th e ;/ sa id were th e newest and had them v;ashed th o ro u g h ly . 4 sam ple th e n in d ic a te d u n d e r 4 m icrogram s.
