On June 9 and 10th, the v r ite r took a ir samples l a the Asbestoae plant Rev Orleans* Counts vers made vlth the following r sultat
Simple Ro. 1 ; * Taken a t the regrinding machine platfora. - 55,200,000 p articles per cubic fo ot of a i r . 1 te s t nude vlth a Telemeter indicated a Telocity o f a i r orer the hood from the platform fen of J550 feet per ninute. The flo v of a ir into tho hood i * only 220 feet per ninute. (See sketch Ro. 1) The exauet system vould be auch core e ffe c tir e I f the use of the platfora fan vas discontinued.

Taken In the regrind bin. The count vae extremal7 high - 1,696,000,000 p a rtie le s per cubic foot of a i r . Tvo cen vere exposed to th is dust ' concentration fo r about 20 of their time. At the north door of th is bin an incoming Telocity of 150 feet per ninute vas indicated, due to aetion of the platform fan c t the beater. The v e st door of the bin indicated outgoing veloeitiae of up to ?5 fe e t per ninute. This flo v o f a ir carried dust frea the regrind bin oat into the general flo o r uree.
