This is not the usual form of such agreements entered intci by the University, chiefly because it is addressed to me, as it hajs been for a number of years. (The International Lead Zinc Research Organization, Inc. represents Lead Indv'stries Association, Ethyl Corpor tion, E.I. dr.Pont deNemours, and Associated Octel Company, Ltd. (London ) for the purposes of this agreement, these industrial organization s having agreed to pool their funds for their mutual convenience ) The renewal of the agreement has been initiated tardily by the Resea rch Organization because of some abrupt changes in its personnel in New York, but the support for the project has not been interrupted. ) For the better information of all concerned, and considering my somewhat unusual rela ionship with this Department of Environmental Health, I have brought this entire matter (previous policies, etc.) to the attention of Dr. Foulkes, who has signified his approval of my action and relations hip by countersigning this letter.
