Memorandum In the Case of
Plaintiff in a suit against J. F. Patterson and the Texas Company.
The plaintiff was an employee at the ware-* house of tho Texas Company. Ke was employed for a period of about thirty days working on delivery trucks, distri buting gasoline and other products for the Texas Company. On or about October 27# 1935* an accident occurred in connection with one of the gasoline storage tanks in which gasoline was spilled over the face, eyes and body* The claim is made that as a consequence of this one accident the poison attacked tho plaintiff, caused dull perception and sluggishness, and that his eyas have been affected so that sooner or later he will become totally blind and helpless.
In view of the laws of South Carolina, it is impossible at present to obtain consent for a complete physical examination or an examination of the eyes of tha plaintiff* Further information must await due process of law, therefore.
