The main theme of the symposium was on the business and technology aspects of our industry. Health risk assessment was not the topic of interest and will not be included in the next year's Symposium. After a long talk with several program organizers, they agree to consider the possibility for me to give a presentation on Shanghai benzene study if the Chinese counterparts in China are also interested. All major petroleum companies in China will be attending the March 2003 symposium. I did not see William Wu on Saturday and he did not registered for the symposium. Circulate SHELL-MCCLURG-055016 Dear CAPA members: We are very excited to kick off the first CAPA Business & Technology Symposium ("the Symposium"), which will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2002 at the Omni Hotel, located at the intersection of Katy Freeway and Eldridge in west Houston. All CAPA members are cordially invited to attend the symposium and are encouraged to submit and to present papers at the Symposium. The Symposium will be an excellent opportunity for CAPA members to: 1) learn the expert insights in some of the most important and challenging topics faced by the petroleum industry, 2) share best practices via case studies among various companies, and 3) network with one another. As the Symposium will serve as a preparation/screening function for the 2003 Symposium to be held in March 2003 in Sanya, China, CAPA members who present their papers at the Symposium will have an opportunity to be selected as a speaker to the Symposium delegation to Sanya, Hainan Island in March 2003.
