The medical manpower crunch occasioned by Dr. Simpson's departure has of necessity forced reappraisal of responsibility assignments among physicians in Corporate Medical.
It appears obvious that in order to assure continuity and minimize duplication of effort in certain fields, we must now define specific areas of primary responsibility for each physician.
The assignments outlined on Attachment I have been made with two primary considerations in mind: 1) equalization of workload, and 2) the realization that each physician will have to approach these responsibilities in the order of priority determined to be in the best interest of the health of the individual employee and Company business considerations.
Areas of overlap of responsibility which become apparent should be clarified by the individual physicians, keeping in mind the already existing responsibilities with respect to specific locations.
