J. C. TAYLOR ATTENTION: MR. H. W. KALEY Regarding the case of Mr. ^est Nyack, NewYork, reported by Mr. Hartmann of the Gulf Refining Company, Pittsburgh. Our Mr. Donohue has contacted with Mr. Clark, the local_____ manager at Ridgefield Park, NewYork, who advised that fir. was not seriously burned and that he did not think it was duet^eaa poisoning. Mr. Clark advised his office of this case mentioning the Ethyl Gasoline Corporation merely as a means of precaution. Mr. Donohue talked with Mr. and learned that the skin infection was caused two weeks ago and is nowentirely healed. It seems Mr. had been picking blackberries and after scratching his hands had spilled gasoline on them. He went to Doctor Pheis at Nyack, NewYork, who diagnosed the case as gasoline bum and did not claim that it was due to lead poisoning. Ir.^HBlHMPHoes not believe this trouble was caused by lead poisoning but he merely questioned it as a cause at the time of the infection.
