This firm has been engaged by CTFA to ensure the confidentiality of the program. A copy of the CTFA procedures governing this program, is enclosed. A sample of, one of your company's products ( Mica, Lots #92463 and #1-3180 * L > c / v a n . /3C )was selected for analysis as part of the CTFA program. (If more than one sample was collected, or if samples of more than one product were collected, you will receive a separate letter for each sample.) I have now received the laboratory report on this product. These results are completely confidential. Neither the CTFA nor any other company will ever be able to correlate the laboratory results with the name of your company. The laboratory under contract to CTFA does not know the origins of the samples it analyzes. The only information which I am providing to the CTFA for each sample is the sample code number, the chemical name of the ingredient, the shipping history of the particular ingredient involved, a code number representing the results of the laboratory analysis, along with a unique code number which permits tracing the history of the sample. I have been instructed by CTFA to inform you that, under the procedures of the review, y o u will receive a copy of. the laboratory results for your product. To keep this information confidential, kindly provide me in writing within 14 days of the date of this letter the name and address'of the person within your organization you designate to receive the laboratory results. If y ou have not responded within l5 days, I will send the laboratory results to y o u at the address on this letter. The laboratory results relating to your product constitute neither an endorse ment nor a condemnation of your product by CTEA. These results do not show, of course, whether other batches of your product would yield similar results. These results apply only to the specific sample tested, and must not be taken to represent, a usual, customary, or average value.
