To ensure th a t our discussions are fruitful, ECOS h a s developed the following guidelines for panelists, speakers, and m oderators. In the in terest of prom oting interaction, w e will forgo opening rem arks an d sta rt each panel or rou n d tab le right off with m oderator questions. Generally, panels and ro u n d tab les will not have m ore th a n five sp eak ers, allowing am ple tim e for atten d ee participation. Also in the in terest of prom oting dialogue, we will forgo the use of PowerPoint slides. ECOS is pleased to post links to docum ents speakers may reference or w ant to provide so th at attendees can download them . Please send these to the ECOS staff m em ber d esignated for y o u r session by Ju ly 10. ECOS will organize a coordinating call for each roundtable speaker and its m oderator approxim ately two w eeks prior to th e m eeting in order to set d iscu ssio n topics a n d flow. At the m eeting, speakers will be panel style a t a table on a riser. S peakers will have tabletop m icrophones. Please feel free to pose questions of other speakers in order to stim ulate discussion. In addition, m oderators should have a few qu estio n s in m ind to get discussion going. The m eeting is open to the press un less it is designated in the agenda as closed. No form al record or rep o rt is g e n erate d by ECOS from th e m eeting.
