Styrene-butadiene stucco finishes In nitrocellulose coatings -- the Aroclors function both as plasticizers and resin extenders. They impart weather resistance, luster, adhesion, decreased burning rate, excellent electrical characteristics, and excellent scuff resistance. In chlorinated rubber-base lacquers, paints and varnishes--the Aroclors function both as plasticizers and resin extenders. They impart flame resistance, corrosion resistance, resist ance to acids, alkalies and water, and good electrical properties. In styrene-butadiene stucco finishes--the Aroclors impart resistance to acids, alkalies, water, mildew, stain ing, discoloration, rapid drying and can stability. This type of paint also gives excellent adhesion to masonry and allied surfaces, resistance to checking, peeling, pitting, flaking and cracking. Aroclor is Monsanto's trade name for chlorin ated biphenyls and chlorinated polyphenyls. These versatile prod ucts possess unique properties which enable them to fulfill require ments (at low cost) not met by other materials.
