Inhibition in respiration rate: After 3-hours exposure, the mean of both replicates was 17.3% inhibition at 1000 mg/L
Control response: The largest percent difference between controluptake rates was 1.5%; thus the two controls were within 15% of each other.

Reference substance results: 3,5-dichlorophenol at a concentration of
10 mg/L induced 57% inhibition in respiration rate. This was within the normal range seen in thislaboratorywith this inoculum.
