New Jersey's Environmental Pro lection Dept, says it began tests after initial data showing asbestos contamina tion wera supplied by attorneys for condominium owners, who filed suit in Bergen County Superior Court (Hack ensack, N.J.) related to charge* of contamination in the building. State testa, which found a "high percentage" of isbe*toe, confirmed result! of an initial study conducted by Mt Sinai Medicai School's Environmental Sciences Laboratory (New York), which is partial ly funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA observes that while present regulations bee spraying of axbeata* for several purposes, such aa irrsulatioa and fireproofing, the rule* do not cover use for decorative purpose*.
