Cost of this survey will be $350.00, and this includes analytical and travel expenses. You have indicated your desire to evaluate a potentially hazardous exposure to lead and Dr. Corn advises that he has obtained the lead-free urine sample kits from Kettering Laboratory for your use, as requested. Following our conversation Monday, however, 1 sent the attached note to Dr. Pfitzer at the Kettering Laboratory requesting that blood vacutainers be sent to Dr. Corn as well. (In this regard, see Patty, Vol. II, pp. 953955). This medical study can be accomplished independently by you, with the analytical assistance and interpretation of results from Kettering Labora tory going directly to you. The Foundation's report will cover only those aspects of the survey performed by Dr. Corn. This will expedite and simplify preparation of the report by-the Foundation with consequent savings to your company. Should you wish to discuss your findings with us later, please let me know. For example, you may wish to consider the pro's and con's of periodic in-plant coproporphyrin determinations as a means of detecting early evidence of hazardous lead exposure, or in helping to document the continued effective ness of industrial hygiene and medical control procedures instituted.
