This man has a very good training and extremely plea sant personality and would probably be a very good man for our work. He contracted tuberculosis two years ago and spent about a year at Saranac, whence he was discharged some six months ago as an arrested case and told that he could enter into any sort of employment that he chose* He tells me that he has been in ex cellent health since that time. He found out that we were build ing a laboratory in Denver and it occurred to him that if he could get a position in Denver, it might be a wise precautionary move on his part from the health standpoint. I explained to him that it was against our policy to employ anyone with organic trou bles of one kind or another, and he understands our situation thoroughly. I told him that in no ease would I offer him a posi tion without the approval of our Medical Department, and I am writing to you for a frank expression of your opinion on the sub ject. He tells me that he will be glad to get Dr. Price (one of the Saranao specialists} to give a full statement as to his medi cal condition. I would appreciate it if you will write me frank ly on the subject.
