Dear Doctor Greenlee:
The usual skin painting experiments to determine
the effects of the dodecylbenzene solvents on carcinogenesis
have involved three applications per week (0.1 gram per
application) for 20. to 30 weeks on 20 mice. Where scarcity
of solvent is- important, we should have .to satisfy ourselves
with a less quantitative measure of the 'rates. It would ,
still be of value to know qualitatively whether or not
the decyl.derivatives described in your letter of April lh
have any specific accelerating effects on the rates of
