Recently Bill Stewart Informed us of shipping difficulties we have experienced because of over reaction to the statement. A copy of Bill's memo and of the statements are attached. I believe it is appropriate to recall that these materials hove been Involved in commerce for over forty years and no occurrences resulting in harm to individuals or to other cargo during shipment have been reported. There is no reason to believe that with propter handling this excellent record cannot continue. The precautionary statements were recently added to inform everyone involved that these materials, if allowed to escape into the environment, are considered pollutento and could accumulate to levels which icay affect come epecies of marine or wildlife. In addition to the environmental consideration, the state ment also emphasize* the need to prevent theee materials from contacting any item intended for human or animal consumption because, like many other products, they were never approved for food use and their presence could result in confiscation or condemnation.
