I t was stated th a t the request was made in order to support the work of the Inter-Departmental Task Force on PCB, You w ill note th a t the report is a composite summary o f the General E le c tr ic report to Dr. Burger (see ny le t t e r o f January 10, 1972) and the Westinghouse report to NIPCC (see my l e t t e r dated January 11, 1972) with heavy emphasis on the G-E m a te ria l. I t i s o f in te r e s t to note th a t at the January 4 , 1972 meeting o f the NIPCC Sub-Council, Mr. P atrick M orris, attorney fo r the Commerce Department and Dr. Robert W. C airn s, Deputy A ssista n t Secretary fo r Science and Technol ogy, Department of Commerce and representing Commerce on the Inter-departm ental Task Force on PCB, were p resen t. Dr. Cairns picked up copies o f both the Gen e ra l E le c tr ic and Westinghouse rep orts.
