We are pleased to quote you on 12 to 15 complete positive pressure hand driven blowers with the following equipment: 1 No . 4400 - Hand driven po sitive pressure blower (with manifold having two outlets), 1 No. 3291 - Mask and v.reb safety belt assembly (single inhalation tub e over shoulder), 2 No . 3035 - 25 ft. lengths of 1" oil resisting hose, 1 No. 3036 - 50 ft. lengths of 1 " oil resisting hose. 1 No. 1300- Fibre Trunk. a price of 171.90 each net with standard red rubber mask parts -or 174.4-0 each net with white rubber mask parts. Tilth non-sparking hardware throughout, the price would be 176.90 each net with standard red rubber mask parts and 179.40 each net with white rubber mask parts. You will notice I have been able to considerably reduce the price of these blowers under the standard price. You will be getting one add itional 25 ft. length of hose, or 100 ft. in all with each outfit. This was necessary as we can only discount complete outfits. In other words, you are getting 50 ft. more of hose than you would get with any of the velocity type blowers such as the sample we submitted to you. The prices quoted above should be confidential as far as the field is concerned, as it would be necessary in the event of future purchases by companies who see this equipment, for us to quote regular prices. With regard to specifications, the blower itself packed for shipment weighs 80 lbs. The trunk containing 100 ft. of hose, mask and web safety belt assembly (single inhalation tube) weighs 106 lbs. The dimensions of the trunk containing mask and hose are 25" x 25" x 15-!". For convenience in handling in the field, we have found it prefer able not to include the blower in a case, because of its weight and the space involved to house it. In the event that it were in a case, it would be necessary to remove it from the case anyway to operate it, as the crank handle rotates in the same direction as a bicycle peddle. Therefore, from the standpoint of space alone, I feel it would be advisable in yours as well as in previous in stances where we have supplied this equipment, to carry the blower separately. It can be easily operated standing on the ground and can be conveniently handled in remote locations. 7,re should be pleased If you so desired, to furnish covers of water proof canvas for the blowers while not in use. Blowers are equipped so that in the event you should ever find it necessary to motorize them to furnish air to more than two men, it could be done by simply adapting a clutch, motor and base to the hand driven unit, as you \YOUld receive it. V/ith regard to filters, we db not feel that you will require this equipment except perhaps inone or two locations. However, I did have some resistance tests run on the filter which we would supply you, in accordance with your request. A.t 85 liters per minute there was a presure drop on the filter of 7-1/2" of water. This resistance would be practically negligible when used with the positive pressure equipment in question. ' We will have the output tests at the end of 100 ft. of hose with filter attached, within the next couple of days. I certainly trust by this time you have found the claims I made for the Davis face piece justified. Tie feel sure that your men will be pleased with thecomfort and service they give in field use. I hope, also by the latter part of this week to have the Information you want on the clearance between the impellers and the housing in this blower. T7e are getting this information direct from the RootsConnersville people. I am sending under separate cover today, the blower only, as we would supply it.
