The Control lab analyzed this for the routine tests. The remainder of the sample Is still available from Nell Gay for any additional tests Re search would desire to make. Regarding item 2. of your letter, the idea which you propose Is not only workable, but necessary, since we will have no other monomer available to supply Springfield. During the two week Department 18 shutdown, we should produce a minimum of 3 MM pounds of VCM via cracking. We will. If our inventory position allows, store up to 1 MM pounds for other customers. There will thus be a minimum of 2 MM pounds available for segregation by Springfield. I will contact Bill Willis to determine if these 2 MM pounds are sufficient for the tests which Springfield desires to make. If not, a larger share of the 3 MM pounds can probably be sent to them.
