R Lyaaa Airborne ConcantratIona Adjacent to Ceraalc Kilns Please find enclosed a sutsnary of the results from sampling the atmosphere adjacent to a ceraalc kiln located at Wurzbacher Associates Inc., 213 Hlneola Blvd., Mineola, New York, and a copy of a letter to Jin Gervan of the Delaware Department of Public Instruction. the results froa the survey indicate that there was no excessive exposure adjacent to this kiln* However, as pointed out to Hr. Gervan, we cannot state definitely that a potential hazard does not exist or does exist in view of the lack of sufficient data. I believe that the safest procedure is to recommend installation of exhaust hoods and that each situation should be evaluated individually.
