NEW PROCESS* RED LEAD
Rogers-New Process Red Lead represents a new dis covery in the method oC manufacturing Red Lead in Oil, by which the well-known. tendency o Red Lead to settle and become hard in the package is entirely over come. By this new method Red Lead in paste form re
mains permanently in a soft, buttery condition, even when the packages are left open and exposed to the air fox considerable time.
Another important point is that the New Process Red Lead will not run or sag on metal work when ap plied in a good free working consistency.
We give you below ten reasons why New Process Red Lead is far superior to other Red Leads on the market:
Firati New Process Red Lead Is the first pure Red Lead
in Oil that will stay in suspension. It is not to be con fused with the red lead paints formerly mad by our selves and others, but running only from 56% to 65% red
lead--the pigments in New Process Red Lead is strictly pure Red Lead--nothing else. Ie never cakes or gets hard, and can always be easily stirred.
Second.: It carries enough oil to make a durable film. Pure red lead has never before done this..
Third: It can be spread in an even film over the sur face. This has been impossible before because it had been necessary to mix it bo thick In. order to keep it from running off the job that it could not be spread out evenly.
Fourth) It will not "run" or "sag" on any part of the
surface. This means that it can be spread over rough castings or surfaces without pulling away from the sharp edges, as so. often is the cast with ordinary red lead.
Fifthi It will cover from 25% to 40% more surface than
pure Red Lead In Oil mixed by hand on the job. This is due to its oil carrying capacity as compared with red lead
made In the old way, and also because of the careful grinding in modern mills.
Sixthi New Process Red Lead will save 26% in labor
cost of application. In using old methods of red lead
painting the workman Is obliged to use it so heavy and
thick that the painting is a slow, tiresome process.
Furthermore, from the beginning of the job to*the end
it is necessary to spend nearly as much time in keeping
the paint stirred as in putting it on. New Process Red
Lead spreads easily, and once stirred, stays stirred like
an ordinary paint.
r
Seventh: New Process Red Lead will wear longer. Its oil-carrying capacity alone assures this. Our tests hare proved It, and so will any fair trial that may be made.

NEW PROCESS RED- LEAD--Continued
Eighth; New Process Red Lead saves wasie. The ten
dency cf hand-mixed red lead to settle and cake hard has
always entailed a very large percentage of waste in. ma
terial that had to be thrown away because It could not
be used. New Process Red Lead, because It always re
mains soft, can be used without any waste of this kind,
Another important point is that it will not spoil in an
open package.
jvinthi New Process Red Lead saves 25% on original
material cost. This Is in addition to and apart from sav
ing in labor, saving due to covering capacity and saving
of waste. Most specifications call for 28 lbs. to 38 lbs.
of red. lead to a gallon of linseed oil. Taking the lower
figure, 28 lbs. of pure dry lead at 6%c a pound and 1
gallon of linseed oil at 70c, make 11-S gallons of paint
cost 82.46, or a cost of $1.86 per gallon. One gallon of
New Frocesa Red Lead costing $2,25 and one gallon of
linseed oil at 70c make two gallons of paint costing $2.96,
or a cost of $1.47^4 for one gallon. These figures will vary
with the market fluctuations. You take at any time New-
Process Red Lead at $2.25 and oil and lead at the market
price, and the comparison will show the same relative
difference.
Tenth) New Process Lead is the only non-settling Red
Lead paint on the market the pigment of which is strictly
pure red lead, and that only.
It is put up in three forms:
New Process Red Lead in Oil. (Paste.) This will be

CONCRETE FLOOR PAINT
An air-drying elastic preparation made ror use on cement floors. It has Btrong binding and adhesive qual ities and greatly enhances tne appearance of the floor. In engine rooms, power plants, etc., trouble is often ex perienced from the dnst of the cement, causing friction by settling on the bearings and journals. This difficulty is obviated where Concrete Floor Paint is used, as it prevents the grinding of the concrete by foot traffic and anchors the dust. Owing to the widely varying nature In the character of different cement floors, no guarantee must be offered on paints applied to cement. Put up In gallons, fives and barrels.
