1. J. A. Glass explained the safety organization to the new Hourly Safety Committee.
2. Fire/Entry and Lockout Procedures were discussed.
3. Question was asked if past practice for old Hourly Safety Committee having a dinner still holds?
B. Old Business: (which needs reply)
1. Ability to hear fire alarms and "all clear" still a problem around the plant--especially at Dock 4 & 5 and Department 42. 33^37, ^
2 . Insulation Banding--Needa means to cover or do away
with exposed razor edges.

l. Some fire monitor valves were found carsealed closed in the East Plant. Additionally, the valves were hard to operate. What is Standard practice? TGM-si -4e> raV
2 A concern was expressed that the HCN alarm in Dept. 19/25/27/29 and HCN Storage Tanks can't be heard in the AN Loading Shack.
ifr 3 There are some valves inside the 143)S diked area that require
walking through some liquid. It was feared that this liquid
contained SM and TBC.
