As we had discussed on the telephone In January. 1 have enclosed the listing of variables on the data tape that contains information on die mortality or vinyl chloride workers. Please note that there are no variables on the data tape which Indicate state of death, location of death, or death certificate number. In order to destroy the data on the deaths that occurred in New York City as you requested, we would have to destroy all of the data as we are not able to differentiate death records by location.
Please allow ENSR to release this Information to CMA's new Vinyl Chloride Study contractor, AEI, so that they may continue (heir study. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Unn Westberg at (508) 63S-9500 or me at (510) 748-6700. I apologize for the length of time it has. taken for ENSR to obtain the listing of the variables on the data tapes for you.

Plmuic find enclosed content listings for the two master data sets for the Vinyl Chloride project. Each listing provides information about the creation of (he data set and the variable names in the data set. The variables on these date sets include demographic information (DOB, DOH, AGEHIRB, AOEDEATH, JOBSTaTM, etc.), exposure information (AGEEXP. DEXP. DEXPDOH. MONTHEXM. etc.), and vital sunis and cause of Oath information (STATM, FCOD, FVJT, FVITS2, ANGIODC, CODCAT. etc.). Please now there is not a variable which indicate* state or death, location of death or death certificate number.
It would be impossible^ mask death information for deaths that occurred in New York City since there is no identifier for place of death. It is only possible to delete death information for everyone in the cohort.
