DUNHAM UNIT HEATERS
Horizontal Discharge Type
Type V gives better heat distribution by supplying proper volume of air at reasonably low outlet tem peratures. Available in two models--H and HM. HM model is designed to give proper final outlet tempera
tures, is generally used on higher steam pressures. Sturdy steel case assures maximum rigidity and free dom from vibration. EDR capacities from 65 to 1500 sq ft with 2 lb steam, 60 deg entering air.
. Front View, Type V
Type R Blower Type
^
Designed for steam or vapor; gravity or forced hot water heating systems. Casings are No. 18 gage steel with re movable fronts. Dampers available on order. EDR capacities with steam at 1 lb, 65 deg F entering air; 7.4 to 125.7 sq ft. Cabinet dimensions: 4 to 1Q-* in. wide; 18 to 64 in. long; 20, 24 and 32 in. high. In addition to those illustrated, floor and wall cabinets can be furnished
with sloping tops. Partially and fully recessed types also available.
Heating element of non-corrosive materials: copper or aluminum fins on seamless drawn round copper tubes brazed to bronze headers, xubes ex panded after assembly to assure positive, permanent contact with fins. Heavy side plates protect fins from damage Working pressure: 150 lb steam or water
Baseboard Radiation
Designed for forced hot water, steam or vapor heat ing systems. Baseboard consists of front and back sections of heavy gage sheet steel plus the Dunham finned heating element. Easily installed in new or old, large or small structures. Front and back enclo sure sections--shipped in 10-ft. lengths>and cut to fit on the job--assembled by merely slipping front sections over flanges of back sections. Front sections are removable and are formed so that warm air is directed away from walls. Baseboard can be painted as desired. Individual room dampers are optional . equipment. Finned heating elements are available in lengths from 1 ft to 6 ft, made of steel pipevwith steel fins, steel pipe with aluminum fins, or copper
pipe with aluminum fins.
Fin-Vector Radiation
Designed for use with two-pipe steam or forced-circulation hot water heating systems. Fin-Vector Radiation available in following forms: Type COT-10 FinVector Cabinet, Type OT-10 CH Cover Assembly, or expanded metal grille. May be installed to form one long,
continuous run. Type OT Heating Element is used
with all of these enclosures and consists
of \\ in. steel pipe with steel fins (OTS), H in. steel pipe with aluminum fins (OTSA), 1 in. copper pipe with alumi-
Fin-Vector Cabinet
num fina (OTCA). All fins are mechani cally attached, each fin interlocking with preceding fin. Elements are threaded at each end with standard pipe threads; elements for welded pipe joints are also available.

Floor type heater with mixing"1, damper. Type R. Also avail
able with elongated nozzles.
Wall type heater. Type R
Type R Designed to heat large spaces. Available with mixing dampers, by-pass dampers-and filter section's for heating and ventilating, or for heating only.
Belt-driven centrifugal type blower fans use constant speed 1750 rpm motors on 60 cycle or direct current. Fans are double width, double-inlet type with
forward pitched blades. Self-aligning, dust-proof ball bearings support fan shaft.
Heating element is replaceable tube type.. Brass clamping nuts securely fasten seamless drawn helical fin copper tubes into semisteel cast headers. All essential parts readily accessible, and can be removed through either end of heater casing.
Working pressure: up to 150 psi steam with EDR capacities up to 6000 sq ft.
Cabinet Type
Type M> compact, cabinet type unit. Quiet in opera tion. Heating element of non-ferrous materials--copper fins on copper tubes, silver soldered to bronze headers. Tubes expanded into fins provide permanent mechanical bond. Manufactured in three sizes: 108, 300, and 423 EDR capacities at 2 lb steam, 60 deg entering air.
Vertical Discharge Type
Type C discharges air stream vertically downward. Outlet temperatures relatively low. Volume of air kept high to promote uniform heat distribution horizontally, as well as to equalize temperature differences between floor and ceiling. Four types of air diffusers are available.
Heating element of non-ferrous materials. Tubes are in. OD copper, silver soldered into heavy copper tube headers. Tubes expanded into fins provide positive, permanent mechanical bond. Fins are copper or alumi num.
All motors operate at 1140 rpm on 60 cycle or direct current, except on C150-C and C150-CM which require 1600 rpm.
Two models available: Model C for operation on steam pressures from 2 to 150 lb gage; Model CM designed for use on higher steam pressures. Made in nine sizes, 150 to 2000 EDR capacities, 2 lb steam, 60 deg entering air.
