Dear Cecilia, Thank you for the phone call and request for a meeting. I have discussed this with my colleagues from the countries working o n the restriction proposal. During the last two years, the five countries have put much effort in gathering information on the tonnages, emissions, functionality, alternatives and economic impacts of potential restrictions of PFASs. This information was received in two consultation rounds and in addition several studies by external consultants were performed. In the restriction dossier (including Annexes) the information will be presented and based on this one or more restriction options will be proposed. At this stage we are quite busy with the preparation of the restriction proposal. We are awaiting t he compilation of the consequences from the various studies and the information from the two consultations and an analysis of which gaps we need to prio ritize filling before we possibly contact the industry with targeted questions. Please also note that submission of the dossier to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is foreseen in July 2022 and will be followed by a 6 months consultation period where you will have the possibilityto comment on the proposal and provide relevant input. After the two scientific committees (RAC and SEAC) have formulated their opinions, the dossier will be handed over to the European Commission and a policy decision will be taken. Chemours' products portfolios empower a wide range of downstream industries in Europe includingsemiconductors, automotive (including e-vehicles), hydrogen, 5G medical devices, heat pumps, air conditioningand insulation, among others. In the context of the upcoming proposal to restrict PFAS, EU Focus, together with a group of top-level technical consultants (RPA, SCC), has been assisting The Chemours Company in the elaboration of critical technical & socio-economic data on hazard, uses, exposure pathways of a specific group fluoropolymers & F-gases from Chemours' product portfolio. Overthe recent months, we have made major progress in bui lding a unique knowledge base on how those chemicals are used and their possible exposureto human & environment.
