I have included a representative list assembled by Dow Chemical. The list is in two parts -- one of English language articles and another of Russian articles. It needs to be mentioned that while these articles were available in the open literature, that does not mean that UCC personnel were aware of their findings. I have also asked Dr. C. P. Carpenter of our Mellon labs to search the Mellon files to determine if UCC has ever funded studies to obtain toxicity data on either polystyrene or styrene monomer. I have attached a copy of his letter answering my request. I have also requested that the Toxline and Cancerline programs be searched for additional references.
