Motor 1ala to bo uood la any experiment* would probably bei-

(a) Yimy (b) J-M or King
(a) South Afrioaa Blue and Monroe
Thooo fibres should be used in two lengthst
1 - Short - 2-3 mierons 2 - Long - 15-50 aierons
11 - Ataospherlo asbestos and rodk dust saaplea taken at the breathing level of workers in tho Bills.
Dr. Lansa and his group will prepare a program for experimental studies, the approximate length of time it will take for the study end the cost. Dr. Cartier and I will reeelTe oopies of this proposal.
Ob June 13th I visited Dr. Vorvald in Saranas Lake and ssksd him to submit a ' progrBi similar to that of Dr. Lansa. When these two prograa are received ! Dr. Cartier and 1 will be able to Bake reeaasiendationa to the Q. A. M. A. !--7
Today It la impossible to say whether the research program should be carried out at Saranac or New York, or the two centres in collaboration. Possibly no animal axpariments for publication should be contemplated today, but rather we should have a statistical survey of our men end arrays as wall as the general population in our two towns. Ho one knows tbs cause of cancer in the lung and it is impossible
to correlate absolutely the findings in animals and hiane in this field. For this reason it may be advisable first to study our people who live and work in tbs dust.
A further report will be made when the recommendations to the Q. A. M. A. are ready.
