The ear is one of 56 which U. S. Steel converted to 7R-0.nsage. It had originated at the 0. S. Steel plant In Birmingham and was going to or had been delivered to Kaiser Aluminum near New Orleans. A Dr. Uka. C. Quinn in New Orleans wants Information about the fluid. Dr. Quinn can be reached at Area Code 504, 891-8313. He reportedly is the "company surgeon" for the Ms. Surgi Equipment Company in New Orleans. I guess this is the company that provides the heat transfer equipment for the tank oars and presumably it was men from this company that had been made ill. Shaw says this thing has blown up into a hassle to the extent that a meeting is scheduled in Birmingham Monday morning. Presumably this will Involve U.S. Steel and Surgi Equipment Company people and possibly someone from Kaiser. Shaw hoped that someone from the Medical Department could attend the meeting.
