Solutia and the Pell City Chamber have a common desire to maintain and increase the public's awareness of Lake Logan Martin's long standing reputation as an excellent recreational value for both residents and visitors. Pell City's successful application to host the K-Mart Bassmasters Top 150 Tournament on the Lake in October of this year certainly fosters that goal and also will bring a very positive economic impact to the Lake area. As we discussed, Solutia will contribute $30,000 to the Pell City Chamber of Commerce for its use in sponsoring this tournament. The contribution will be in two equal parts - the first in October 1998 and the second approximately one year later. While this tournament is a high profile and valuable one-time event associated with the recreational activities and opportunities provided by Lake Logan Martin, Solutia is also interested in a broader cooperative focus with the Chamber.
