Trcmblee The following are the minutes from the February 1, 1984 SHAC meeting: Fourth Quarter Inspection Award winners were: UNIT: Dept. 33 CRAFT: Insulators LABS: Research I OFFICES: Fire Department We have arranged for Gene Tromblee to present the awards between 2:00 3:00 p.m. on February 10, 1984 with SHAC present. Reports coming out soon on the quarterly Inspection. Unit Laboratories Inspection Dept. 513 completed. The status of the other three laboratories needing Inspection was unkncwn. Goal s Next time we will discuss the SHAC goals after everyone has had more time to look at their jobs. Old Business Starting dates for external inspection looks like before August or in September. We will try to coordinate with the west plant as much as possible. Pipe rack identification in poor shape from quarterly inspections. New Business January/February Safety Syndrome has hit our plant. We have had 5 spills/fire in January. We have had 3 injuries that could have been serious. SHAC discussed what can be done. The following actions were considered: sc 001015 LAM002213 2- - - Publicize Problem Letdown 1. Expanded staff on injury comparison to other years. What steps can they take to improve problem. 2. Safety publicity at Main Gate, in paper and on bulletin boards. - Posit1ve Approach 1. Safety Jackets. We have committed to a schedule of obtaining approval by February 15 and delivery of the jackets by April 1. 2. Do a feature newspaper article on the group with the best current safety record (Dept. 513). Ask questions about what they have done and what they are going to do to keep this outstanding record. - STOP Emphasis STOP observations statistical analysis may be performed. This would take some effort but could give seme Information on what we are ob serving versus what safety incidents are occurring.
