Please note that the letter proposes a voluntary undertaking of a two-generation reproductive effects study and discussion with the agencies on specific end-points of interest for the developmental and neurotoxicity studies. I will follow-up with Mr. Auer and Dr. DeRosa on a future course of action and inform you of the next step within the next several weeks; 2) a manuscript submitted by Dr. Richard Reitz to Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology on, "Predicting Cancer Risk from Vinyl Chloride Exposure with a Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic Model." Please note that this is the draft manuscript and will be revised based on comments made by the peer-reviewers. I will send a copy of the manuscript to James Cogliano and will follow-up with him on a process for modifying the Heast table for vinyl chloride; 3) October 27,1994 research proposal from Carlo Tamburo of the University of Louisville for a brain cancer study in vinyl chloride exposed workers. The proposal is very brief and therefore is difficult to evaluate. I have invited Dr. Tamburo to attend our next meeting in January in Washington, D.C. No meeting date is fixed at this time, but as soon as I find out Dr. Tamburo's availability, I will check with you to determine your availability and schedule a meeting. Item numbers 4,5, and 6 below were received from Dr. Tamburo prior to his October 27 research proposal; 4) Practical Applications of Biomarkers in the Study of Environmental Liver Disease; 5) Biological Threshold for Vinyl Chloride Exposure-Induced Hepatic Angiosarcoma in Humans; and, 6) Specific Antisera to Unique Antigenic Determinants in Human Hemoglobin-Acrylonitrile Adducts. Jonathan Ramlow and I will visit Kenneth Mundt on December 5 to discuss his proposal to update the vinyl chloride epidemiology study.
