We are a medium-sized enterprise in the field of developing and manufacturing of Valve Technologies for the drinking water sector, which are used among other things in building fitting. Therefore, we are reliant on using fluoropolymers which are considered "polymers of low concern" like PTFE in an unrestricted way. If there were a general ban, we would lose our business basis in a substantial range and this would jeopardize around 200 workplaces in Dusseldorf. As entrepreneurs, we see it as our duty to do everything possible within our sphere of influence to protect the environment and act sustainably. So, we will install a photovoltaic system shortly without any government aid to make a sustainable contribution to reduce CO2 emissions. Equally we support the change away from the use of inappropriate substances to "contemporary, alternative substances" always where it is already possible. That's why we participate in VDMA working groups, universities and oth_er bodies to search and establish environmentally friendly and resource-efficient materials, processes and investments.
