Ah, yes, that's the source of my confusion, Dave. Casey and Virginia are not "my people" in the sense that they are politicals in a different assistant secretariat; hopefully either or both of them can make it.

This was our exchange. I may have misread, but I thought that you were (in essence), encouraging some of your people to join the 9-10 am Thursday, March 23 meeting that the national mutli-species habitat conservation plans coalition have with Gary Frazer.
Thanks.

Doug, Casey Hammond is the political assigned to FWS right now. Virginia Johnson is the lead political in Fish Wildlife and Parks.
I am copying them both.
While I am always happy to see you and Dave, Casey and Virginia would be the most appropriate persons for you to meet with concerning HCPs.
If you have a Reclamation, USGS, or invasive species issue, I'm your guy.

Scott:
Attached is our agenda for the meeting with Gary Frazer. Also, some figures on HCP funding (for which I can get you something more updated.). Also here is a link to the Riverside County HCP website. Their HCP is one of the oldest. http://wrcrca.org/
Basically, we are explaining that no big infrastructure push is going to work unless HCPs are understood and fully exploited and expanded. We want to share our lessons learned on the latest science, regulatory streamlining ideas, budget impacts,
benefits to growth, success in saving species, etc. This is a nationwide coalition that is quite thoughtful about its work and is ready to engage the DOI and the Secretary's office at a policy and programs enterprise level. They truly are part of the solution.
Thanks.
Dave
